The Metropolitan Expressway has a total length of about 327.2 km. More than 60% (about 217 km) of the expressway has been open for over 30 years, and 20% has been in operation for more than 50 years.

Aging and harsh use conditions have caused serious damage to such structures. Therefore, in order to keep the road structures durable for a long time, we are proceeding with a renewal project for the Metropolitan Expressway, while carefully examining structural problems, maintenance problems, and damage conditions.
